We Are Not Quitters

Next week, we are presented with an opportunity to make history.

At the invitation of President Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will come to Washington to sit face-to-face and discuss peace. I am here to tell you that, as stated at the formulation of this Israeli government, Israel is committed to seeing these talks through to reach a final agreement and a permanent end to the conflict.

Happy Rosh Hashana Greetings

Dear Friends,

During the year 5770 Israel experienced impressive successes with the continuous growth of the Israeli economy and the joining of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), to which belong only 32 countries with developed economies in the world. From a security perspective, we experienced one of the quietest years in the 62 years since the establishment of the modern State of Israel. Again we won a Nobel Prize for Chemistry and a Fields Award, the "Nobel" of mathematics. We proved once again, first of all to ourselves, that we belong to the head and not the tail.

A state of Palestine in the making

The amazing changes occurring in the West Bank under Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad show what a state of Palestine could look like. His leadership, and vision, should be embraced by all.
