The Way of the Weather Future
Do we ever really trust the weather man? We’d like to, but we also know they make mistakes. Meteo-Logic, a new Israeli company, is going to change all that.
Meteo-Logic’s software combines current local weather data with regional and global weather data and patterns to eliminate the need for human assumption in predicting the weather. Meteo-Logic consultant and expert meteorologist Dr. Baruch Ziv believes the new system is the first to create this combination.
While this could help any average Joe pick out his outfit for the day or decide which route to work is best, Meteo-Logic has its sights set a little higher. The company is currently working with 100 companies inside Israel as a test market and to iron out all the kinks. From there, they envision a three-pronged market consisting of average Joes, those who convert historical weather data to prediction weather data, and wind farm owners.
Meteo-Logic currently employs a team of ten who work out of Ramot Hashovim.
