Prime Minister's Office launches smartphone App for Obama visit
Ahead of US President Barack Obama's upcoming visit to Israel, the Prime Minister's Office has launched a smartphone app that is compatible with both iPhone and Android phones.

The app will show a "behind the scenes look" at the president's visit to Israel and will allow journalists to communicate with the Prime Minister's Office through the app.

"The app is another step by the Prime Minister's Office National Information Directorate in addition to its ongoing activities on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.," said Liran Dan, director of communications in the Prime Minister's office. "We want to make it easier for foreign journalists to cover the visit, by enabling them to access information through the app."

According to the National Information Directorate, the app, available for bothAndroid and iOS devices, will feature real-time updates, video, photographs and behind-the-scenes glimpses at the visit. The app is available in Hebrew and English and will soon be available in Arabic as well.
