Passing of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon
On Saturday, January 11, 2014, former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon passed away after being comatose for eight years. The State of Israel bows its head in mourning and reflects on his legacy.

From Israel’s inception, Ariel Sharon played a central role in its struggle for security. He was a courageous fighter and an outstanding general, and was among the IDF's greatest commanders. After his military career, he worked tirelessly on behalf of the people of Israel in his many government roles and as the 11th prime minister of the State of Israel.

His legacy and contributions to Israel will forever be remembered.

The Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles invites you to sign the book of condolences for former Prime Minister Sharon. The Consulate will be open for signing Monday, January 13 - Thursday, January 16, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
