Visual arts
Visual arts in Israel show a creative
balance between the art of the East and West, while being
influenced by the land, the character of the cities and nature
of the cultural melting pot of Israel. We began to see a vast
number of art galleries and museum exhibitions arise at the
end of the twentieth century, and this growth has continued
to be influenced by the painting, sculpture and photography
coming out of this rich cultural environment. The number of
art school graduates is increasing, creating promising young
artists and curators to find their place among the top artists
in the world.
The Israeli art world is amazingly rich and intense,
regardless of its location far away from the attention of
Western art centers; regardless of the absence of an avant-garde
art market, regardless of the paucity of art journals and
publications. It is a highly diverse art world...
